staff were very helpful + helped make it a pleasant stay. I would have no probem recommending this hotel. It is very conveniently located, with RER station less than 50mtrs away, making visits to Paris city + sights very easy.

It was a nice stay of 3 nights with my Lady. Hotel Moderne is located in Zone 3....just on the opposite side of Nanterre Ville Station....Its really helpful to have a station nearby. There is a good Restaurant next to the Hotel which is also Halal. I landed in Paris by Eurolines Coach which dropped me at Gallieni Station from where i bought a RER ticket by 2.5 Euro to reach Nanterre Ville. For my following day visit in Paris City i bought Paris Visit Card for 2 days...which allowed unlimited travrl in Zone1,2&3 by Public Transport.

It was very clean and within its basic limits, very comfortable (I.e if you sign up for a room which has no en suite bathroom, you should not mind that it does not, and the two extra steps I had to take to get to it did not decrease the comfort overall). The bed was very large for a single room, there were blinds for the large window and a small sink. Although it was next door to a building site and a busy train station, the sounds did not reach the room even when the window was close. The staff was polite and helpful, only in some cases not in command of much English (but then, figuring out a language so close to English should not be a problem for the guest either). THe hotel was certainly great value for money and I do not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who does not intend to spend extended hours in their room but uses it for its logical purpose - to sleep in after long days of work etc elsewhere. You get more than you expect when you book a room in this price range and I found it more comfortable than many much pricier hotels I have stayed at.
Beware that the breakfast is for extra price, but I did not use it myself so cannot comment whether it was worth that price or not.

No airdryer, no bath products, no bedside tables, no lampshades, no heating in the toilet
